    Projecting Oranges

    Full Voice

In Projecting Oranges, a 60 minute contemporary queer relationship comedy, Elle tries to get Ivy out of her funk... but first she has to get her off the couch. As new flat-mates, their once easy banter is stressed by the close-quarters, as well as two new additions to their social circle, Peter, with his biting sense of humor, and the always good-natured (and up for a good time), Jenny. And despite this foursome’s easy-going attitude about everything from non-monogamy to veg food, their relationships are anything but.

    Laura's Bush

    Full Voice

What are a queer librarian, a sex worker and the Clintons doing in LAURA'S BUSH?
Full Voice presents LAURA'S BUSH, the new controversial satire by the famously pseudonymous Jane Martin, October 22-30, 2004 in Chicago. This hilarious, smart one-act is sweeping the country before the election, evoking protests on the right and disapproving laughter on the left (
www.laurasbush.com). From the first moment when a Christian “pre-lesbian” librarian enters Aphrodite Escorts, to the hyper-sexual portrayal of the First Lady, to the biting dialog about gender, religion and race politics, this somewhat absurd play offers a unique explanation for our extremely absurd political climate.

In LAURA'S BUSH, Dody, a librarian with ‘lesbianistic tendencies,’ discovers Laura Bush is blinking "help me" in Morse Code during televised events. Dody convinces Desiree, an escort, to help save Laura, despite a warning from the black spirit of Bill Clinton. Over a game of strip poker, Laura divulges secrets from the White House and much more! But can they hide from Powell, Rice, Rumsfeld and Hillary Clinton?

    See LAURA'S BUSH live!
